a green moment

I need to come up with a neat way to recycle the cardboard squares from fat quarter packaging. Seems such a shame to waste them.
Any ideas?

    cover them with fabric & some of that plastic stuff people use to cover tablecloths (not necessarily in that order) & make coasters of them?

    flashcards?

    cover with different fabrics & put into a frame, glued to a backing board & make a "quilt" bulletin board?

    ok, i'm tapped out! hehe
